WHAT WE OFFER

TRAINING
ANALYSIS AND DESIGN |
|
Performing training needs analysis (TNA) is a crucial procedure for achieving effective training results. Our
proven approach involves interviews with staff and reviews of existing training methods and materials. The purpose of the exercise is to identify any gap between the current level of
skill and / or knowledge and propose a set of possible solutions (based on our customer's criteria e.g. budget, timeframe, location, existing
materials etc.) that could be used to effectively implement change.
In order to achieve successful change, we identify clear and quantifiable aims and objectives that will measure the performance
based on the investment. Our training design consultants:
- create structured training units that address the knowledge and skills needed to affect change
- design practical exercises that enable the practise of new behaviours
- design methods of assessment to test the level of ability to achieve the required results
- develop a post course review to help measure the effectiveness of the training
- use the feedback as means of improving the learning process
Each lesson plan has clear objectives that are explained to delegates at the outset and reviewed at the conclusion of the
lesson. We believe our focus on results delivers real business benefits and removes any doubts over the value of effective training
within an organisation.
Building on the importance of careful analysis and effective training design, RealSENSE delivers cost-saving training solutions via internet / intranet, CD-Rom and even floppy disk.
We pride ourselves on an interactive approach ensuring that our solutions:
- state clear, achievable objectives
- are presented in concise and easy-to-understand sections
- have the right balance of conceptual and procedural learning
- enable hands-on interactive learning
- make use of appropriate technology
- provide good levels of appropriate feedback
- provide self assessment and formal testing / monitoring where required
RealSENSE staff have been involved in the delivery of effective training solutions for a broad range of national and international
organisations including: BT Cellnet, Hewlett Packard, JCB, Rolls Royce and Powergen etc.
The key benefit to online learning is that it delivers training on demand, directly to you. You take control of your course and the learning schedule so there are no schedule constraints that limit your ability to learn.
We overcome traditional on-line learning problems by encouraging interaction between instructor and student(s). This leads to a high transfer and retention of skills and knowledge during the learning process.
Examples
Our games based learning solutions are question and task led — addressing
issues that most
'tell-test' approaches do not. Our solutions are designed to assess what trainees already know, informing them only of what they do not know. We focus
on capturing student attention, and then keep them motivated enough to actually use the game in order to learn.
Our proven well-recognised games based learning approach involves:
- a question led and task led approach
- high levels of interaction, involvement and relevance
- good accurate feedback
- a focus of what each student does not know
- not telling people what they already know
- student attention capture and motivation through fun and humour but with serious learning
- the user having control over interface selection including questions only (no game at all)
- learning by making mistakes
- monitoring compatible with standard learning management system software
- tutor access to monitoring data
Examples
We can provide virtual simulation scenarios that allow trainees to work (together if appropriate) through training environments that have been constructed specifically to
teach and then test the abilities and skills of the trainee(s).
These simulated training environments can range from teaching someone how to address a kitchen pan fire, simulating a typical factory where health
& safety awareness can be life critical, presenting virtual fault diagnosis scenarios that could otherwise be too expensive to
effectively teach, safe virtual learning simulations that represent hazardous environments that would often be too remote and
dangerous in which to teach.
Examples
As well as analysing and designing effective training for our customers, RealSENSE also provides generic training courses for a range of recognised industry leading products. These include products from Adobe,
Discreet, Macromedia, Microsoft and Superscape. These courses can also be tailored to your requirements whether it be a one-to-one or classroom environment.
RealSENSE staff have an excellent history of delivering quality bespoke training courses around the world to customers such as 3M UK, Thorntons, RUST
Environmental and NASA.
