RealSENSE staff have been involved in the development of many lifestyle and hobby products ranging from Alan

been involved with exciitng and fun interactive hobby products including 3D development on LEGO Creator's Harry Potter, Hornby's Virtual
Railway and Interior Design Prototypes for well recognised high street retailers. Our solutions:
- are simple and easy to use with interfaces that help the user progress through the material
- are based upon good quality content rather than just being technology focussed
- enhance the lifestyle / hobby subject matter in an interesting informative way
- include user interaction so that users can create designs for themselves using our tools
Examples
Our vision is to use use digital technology to widen access to the resources of the arts and cultural sector, for the purposes of learning and enjoyment both at school and throughout life.
We aim to help create and promote access to and participation in arts and culture. We involve the user, making experiences highly
interactive and participatory, enabling individuals, teams and communities to use the technologies to pursue their interests, create cultural resources and interact with others.
We work in collaboration with other subject matter experts using materials from museums, galleries, libraries, heritage sites, archives of written, broadcast and film materials, the performing arts and the new digital arts.
Our solutions are designed to:
- provide easy access to resources
- capture and maintain the interest of the user(s)
- promote interaction and participation in exciting and innovative learning experiences
Our games based learning solutions are question and task led — addressing
issues that most
'tell-test' approaches do not. Our solutions are designed to assess what trainees already know, informing them only of what they do not know. We focus
on capturing student attention, and then keep them motivated enough to actually use the game in order to learn.
Our proven well-recognised games based learning approach involves:
- a question led and task led approach
- student attention capture and motivation through fun and humour but with serious learning
- the user having control over interface selection (e.g. no game - just questions)
- high levels of interaction, involvement and relevance
- a learning focus on what the student does not know
- avoiding telling people what they already know
- learning by making mistakes
- good accurate feedback
- monitoring data which is accessible by the tutor
