Does your organisation have employees that use display screen equipment in an office, while working at home or when going out to visit customers or clients? If so, then the Display Screen Equipment Regulations apply to your company. Does your organisation provide training to these employees?

Regulation 6 of the Display Screen Equipment Regulations states that an employer must train every user in the hazards and safe use of workstations. If you are not training your employees, then you could be subject to an improvement notice, prosecution or an increased risk of a civil claim against the organisation. The provision of training is not a matter of choice or optional, it is an absolute requirement.

Aims of the course

REALSENSE's Display Screen Equipment (DSE) E-Learning aims to help your organisation be legally compliant with the Display Screen Equipment Regulations. It is designed to promote a culture within your organisation that encourages everyone to consider the risks associated with using display screen equipment, apply good ergonomic principles and adopt the correct work practices and postures.

Who is it for?

REALSENSE's Display Screen Equipment (DSE) online learning course is for employees at all levels of who may use display screen equipment such as office personal computers, laptops and handheld devices. Developed by qualified and experienced health, safety and environment professionals and e-learning developers with many years experience in the delivery of learning solutions. The result is a high quality training solution that provides the learner with the tools necessary to meet their health, safety and environment obligations and the organisation a level of compliance through an engaging and effective learning medium.

How is it delivered?

REALSENSE's Display Screen Equipment (DSE) health and safety training can be delivered online, over a network, standalone or via CD-Rom to each learner at their desktop, laptop or other device.

The course conforms to SCORM E-Learning industry standards which means it can be delivered via SCORM compatible learning management systems. Alternatively, if your organisation is looking for a simple and easy to use management system for administrating, distributing and managing e-learning course(s) then we can also deliver the course via REALSENSE's own management system called ActiVbase.

The learning can be completed at the learner's own pace and at a time convenient to them. A simple 'book marking' method is used to record progress providing the learner with an easy way of resuming the course at a later stage. This method of training delivery means typical costs of training can be reduced significantly whilst still achieving the desired awareness and compliance objectives associated with the organisation's legal responsibilities.

Compliance record keeping

An invaluable feature of our E-Learning is record keeping. This provides a compliance audit trail by recording the progress and completion of courses and making them available for you to view and manage electronically.
