Hornby powers full steam aheadREALSENSE deliver interactive multi-lingual instruction guide as part of Hornby's award winning LIVE STEAM range.
The first LIVE STEAM set, which includes the world famous Mallard locomotive, was launched to the public in September 2003 at the Goodwood Revival Festival by railway enthusiast and pop impresario Pete Waterman. Duel's violin-playing twosome of Craig Owen and Greg Scott entertained the audience as the LIVE STEAM Mallard steamed impressively around Hornby's demonstration marquee.
The LIVE STEAM locomotive and the interactive software produced by REALSENSE was on show, demonstrating the LIVE STEAM innovation, ease of use and Hornby's commitment to customer care, safety and support. In January 2004, Hornby's LIVE STEAM product was awarded the industry's highly acclaimed prestigious title of 'Innovative Toy of The Year' by the British Association of Toy Retailers (BATR). The software which runs on standard multimedia PCs enables purhcasers of the LIVE STEAM locomotive to quickly get up to speed with understanding live steam, how it works, important safety points, operational techniques as well as care and maintenance information. The instructional information is available in four languages - English, French, Spanish and German and starts with an impressive LIVE STEAM video accompanied by the voice of Sean Bean.
