RealSENSE has released a demo of its next generation real-time 3D visualisation software, i3D Property Viewer. This innovative solution
sets a new benchmark for 3D Design and Architectural Visualisation enabling users to interact with their CAD models whilst performing daylight studies
and impact analysis. This is all done in unrivalled interactive photo-realism delivering powerful visual feedback to architects, designers and planners involved in designing or promoting buildings, interiors and other designs.
As recognised innovators of interactive 3D Design and architectural visualisation solutions, the RealSENSE
development team has been working on a new interactive Virtual Reality presentation system using their new next generation
real-time 3D engine.

version yourself by downloading and installing the FREE Demo from the downloads section of the RealSENSE Website Demozone.
| VIRTUAL DAYLIGHT is an innovative and powerful feature that provides users with the ability to simply change the time of the scene (selecting from any year, month, day and hour), enabling powerful visual assessment of the effects of light and shadow in the environment. All this is done instantly on the screen without users having to change settings and re-render models. |
|
Users can actually see the position of the sun and shadows changing before their very eyes enabling fast and accurate analysis in a simple and effective manner.
 |
INDUSTRY STANDARD CAD formats (used by most architects) are supported by the viewing software and include data produced from tools such as AutoCAD, 3DSMax, Lightwave 3D and more.
The viewer enables the interactive visualisation of these CAD models using RealSENSE's innovative real-time 3D rendering engine, delivering incredible unrivalled performance and photo-realism compared to existing technologies in the market.
|
| SPATIAL AWARENESS is gained by immersing the user realistically within the 3D
environment. Everyday objects such as people, trees and flowers are integrated within the scene providing accurate visual references for size and scale. This improved understanding of space and design subtleties leads to the minimisation of errors and hence
cost reduction of evaluation and development. |
|
"The plan and elevation drawings we produced did not emphasise a design problem we had with a stairwell in one of our new buildings. As we did a virtual walk-through however, the design error was obvious and an issue with health and safety highlighted. We made the necessary amendments before development commenced and saved ourselves from a costly design
mistake." J. Arnold (3M UK).
Russell Bielby, Managing Director of RealSENSE said, "the team is making major advances towards a complete visualisation solution for architects, designers, planners and property developers. This innovative visualisation software is incredibly dynamic and can play an important part in helping clients make important design decisions, gain planning permission, secure funding, sell and raise the profile of proposed properties and facilities."
 |
Traditional techniques for communicating designs can often be difficult to understand and can lead to costly design
mistakes. Simple changes can often be significantly time consuming as some single images and animations can often take hours of computer
processing and hog resources unnecessarily. RealSENSE's new approach is the result of years of investment with influences from leading
architectural organisations and the computer games industry.
|
| "The RealSENSE 3D rendering engine delivers millions of polygons per second at full screen in photo-realistic detail," says Chris Walsh, co-founder and Technical Director of RealSENSE. Chris Walsh continues, "This enables users to freely navigate, examine, explore and interact with scenes at a frame rate in excess of 40 frames per second on standard multimedia desktop PC's and laptops." |
|
 |
The i3D Property Viewer operates as a stand-alone viewer. Simple key presses, mouse movements and clicks provide users with complete freedom of movement within the virtual environment, providing genuine real time 'free-view' as well as 'walk-through' and 'fly-by' views of the environment during visualisation. Further features are available from simple keyboard interactions.
The ability to freely explore and the flexibility to make changes dynamically in photo-realistic quality ensures a powerful design and visualisation solution.
|
It is these features coupled with additional visual benefits such as real-time reflections, lighting and shadows that make RealSENSE's innovative 3D solution one of the most visually appealing and cost effective visualisation solutions to hit the market for some time.
"We have invested time ensuring that the i3D Property Viewer provides a powerful and professional foundation for
delivering quality bespoke visualisation solutions in a cost effective and timely manner," says Russell Bielby, "this software
has the scope to help reduce costs significantly of property designs and their evaluations whatever their scale." Bielby concludes "Real-time 3D and Virtual Reality has been around for years, but it's only now that computers are powerful enough to offer the level of realism required by architects."
i3D Property Viewer is currently available as part of a bespoke solution from RealSENSE and will also be available soon through approved partners. The i3D Property Viewer is the first of a new suite of innovative design and visualisation software from RealSENSE.
