Background

A brief history

Russell Bielby and Chris Walsh formed REALSENSE in 2000 providing consultancy, design, development and support services for computer based training and innovative virtual reality e-business ventures. At this time, REALSENSE played a key production role in the world’s first online multi-user virtual exhibition system - a multi-million pound dotcom venture in collaboration with Expocentric, Oracle, Blaxxun and Superscape.

The team's sought after skills have been key in the provision of training, development and consultancy services for organisations including NASA on the International Space Station Programme as well as creative initiatives for BT Research Labs, Powergen, 3M Plc and LEGO. The founders of REALSENSE are also pioneers of the hugely successful and innovative Hornby Virtual Railway product with more recent developments including multi-lingual instructional software for Hornby's award winning LIVE STEAM range.

REALSENSE has grown steadily, meeting the increasing demand for effective design and development of a broader range of Learning, Marketing and E-Business solutions. These solutions include web design, online application development, web based learning, learning platforms, real-time multimedia, electronic communications and more. The team has gained much experience and respect across all areas of its business.

Our background has provided a solid foundation for the successful provision of high quality tailored solutions across a number of business areas and sectors including Education, Financial Services, Government, HR and Health & Safety and Retail.

The team has more recently been involved in the production of numerous exciting and innovative projects for organisations including Ahlstrom, Brio, BT, Bureau Veritas, George Asda Wal*Mart, Hornby and LEGO to name just a few.

The Team

Our creative and technical capabilities have been tried and tested over many years enabling us to deliver the cost effective software and media solutions that organisations are looking for. Our core team has been involved in the design, development and delivery of some of the most exciting and innovative interactive applications today and maintains a passion for delivering high quality solutions in a professional and friendly manner.

The majority of our team and associated consultants are graduates - comprising of people with a variety of qualifications including BSc, BEng and BA degrees, professional membership including the British Computer Society and the Institute of Personnel and Development. Coupled with this experience, our organisation collaborates with a number of key technology and market partners in order to maintain our innovative vision enabling us to creatively select and apply appropriate up-to-date technology when addressing our clients' business needs.
